Get your B+E entitlement to tow trailers
If you wish to be legally entitled to drive a vehicle and tow a trailer with a combined maximum authorised mass (MAM) of 3,500kg, you’ll need to pass your B+E test. The size of the trailer you can tow depends on the ‘valid from’ date displayed on your driving licence. If the date is before 19th January 2013, you will be able to tow any size trailer with B+E entitlement. If the date is on or after 19th January 2013, you can tow a trailer with a MAM of up to 3,500kg.
B+E tests are undertaken by senior DVSA examiners at your nearest Lorry & Bus Driving Test Centre. At NxtGen Driving Academy, our highly experienced commercial driving instructors know exactly what is required from you to meet the necessary driving standards and pass your B+E examination.
Our intensive B+E training will prepare you for your test
Your local NxtGen commercial driving instructor can equip you with all the required theoretical and practical training you need to pass the B+E test. We’ll guide you through the process of uncoupling and re-coupling trailers in the safest manner for the protection of you and your fellow road users.
Our intensive practical training for your B+E test will cover driving on all types of roads, including dual-carriageways and motorways. We’ll also ensure you are well-versed with reversing your trailer, which forms a crucial part of car control when towing a trailer.
